How to get to Las Casitas?
| The car is the more comfortable vehicle to reach "Las Casitas de Puertocito"; you can rent a car in San José (Rent a car). It's possible to take two different ways: for the first, surely more swift and comfortable, from San Josè to San Isidro de El General, you can take the Panamerican Highway (135 Km South), once in San Isidro you take the road to Dominical (36 Km). Arriving in Dominical, you drive on "A-34 street, the Coastal Highway" direction Uvita: after 9 Km southward you are at "Las Casitas de Puertocito". During this trip, you can admire the diverse landscape: rain forest, high mountains, unspoiled beaches. The other way is very difficult and much longer (about two days !!): from S.José to Jacó Beach (117 Km) on the Pacific Coast. Then you can drive as far as Quepos (75 Km) and, finally,after other 52 Km you can reach "Las Casitas de Puertocito". The entrance to Las Casitas is on the right side of the road (ocean side). |
