Sábalo Lodge is located on the Osa Península in southwest Costa Rica near the Pacific Ocean. NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC calls this area " the most biologically intense place on earth." Sabalo Lodge lies near the Sierpe River mangroves and is surrounded by mountains. It is lovingly and expertly-run by owners Nidia and Wilbure James. Nidia spent her childood on the property when it was a farm and has returned with her husband to build it into a tranquil, ecologically-balanced resort.
During your stay, you will have a chance to see a variety of birds,butterflies, and animals. The fishing is excellent: snook, snapper,
sailfish, marlin and dorado are plentiful. Horseback riding is available, along with nature tours and trips to Corcovado National Park, Violines Island and Cańo Island. Sábalo Lodge caters to individuals, couples and small groups. Home-cooked meals emphasize fresh fish, organic tropical fruits and vegetables, and freshly-brewed Costa Rican coffee.
