| Take some of your time
when you visit the South Pacific of Costa Rica and experience one of the greatest
snorkeling adventures in this tropical country by going with us to the Caņo Island. Our
journey starts from Uvita or Dominical from where we travel by van to Sierpe. Once at the
community of Sierpe we jump into the adventure by taking the boat for Caņo Island. For
about one hour you will have the opportunity to admire the magnificent mangroves, rich
ecosystems for birds and a lot of aquatic life. Once we get to the ocean, having past the
legendary Violin Island, we will head towards the enchanting Caņo Island by travelling
alongside the dolphins. Jump into the water to snorkel and explore the wonderful coral
reef formations while swimming with colorful fish. with the opportunity to see manta rays,
white tipped sharks, barracudas, sea turtles, lobsters, octopus and sometimes a impressive
whale shark. You can also hike through the Islandīs rainforest before returning to Sierpe
and admire some of the archeoligal sites that are belived to have been an ancient indian
cementery.The tour includes breakfast, lunch, guide, snorkeling equipment, boat
ride, and transportation from Uvita or Dominical to Sierpe and back.
